This policy explains what personal data hunta ("we", "us") collects when you use the hunta Marketplace Fee API and website, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

1. Data we collect

Data	Why
Email address (at sign-up)	To create your account, deliver your API key, and contact you about the Service.
API usage metadata (endpoint, request volume, timestamps)	To meter usage, enforce plan limits, bill correctly, and improve the Service.
Payment details	Processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your card number — we receive only a customer/subscription reference and limited billing metadata.

We do not request the eBay listings or prices you query beyond what is needed to compute and meter a response; query inputs are processed transiently to return your result.

2. How we use it & legal basis

To provide the Service (issue keys, return calculations, meter usage) — performance of our contract with you.
To bill and prevent abuse — performance of contract and our legitimate interests.
To improve the Service and provide support — our legitimate interests.

3. Processors & third parties

We share data only with service providers acting on our instructions:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
Lago (self-hosted, on our infrastructure) — usage metering and billing aggregation.
Cloudflare — website hosting/CDN and security.
Our own application hosting infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies

The marketing website is static and does not set tracking or advertising cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in future, this policy will be updated.

5. Retention

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us below. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

7. International transfers

Some processors (e.g. Stripe) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply.
