Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the hunta Marketplace Fee API and related services (the "Service"), operated by hunta ("we", "us"). By creating an API key or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

hunta provides a programmatic API that returns calculated marketplace fees — beginning with the eBay UK Buyer Protection Fee — based on the inputs you supply. The Service is computational and informational. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating on behalf of eBay or any marketplace.

2. API keys & accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your API key secret and for all activity carried out under it.
• Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised use. We may rotate or revoke a key we believe to be compromised or misused.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: exceed the rate or volume limits of your plan; attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; resell the raw API as a competing fee API; or use the Service unlawfully. We may suspend access for breach.

4. Plans, fees & billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are as shown on our pricing page and may include metered overage above your plan allowance.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

5. Accuracy & "as is"

We work hard to keep our fee calculations accurate and current — including an automated drift check against eBay's published schedule — and version every change. Nevertheless the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Outputs are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. You are responsible for verifying suitability for your use and for your own pricing decisions.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

7. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or to comply with law. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
